Kobon is known to be a bit arrogant and is a suck-up towards his master Oyabon. Kobon is also irrational, irresponsible, impatient and thinks that he is stronger than he actually is. Although he cannot actually throw bombs, he is a big help to Oyabon with helping him deliver stuff and support him, taking the lessons Oyabon gives to the heart. His name is a pun on "kobun", which in Japanese means "henchman" or "follower". The "bon" part of his name is most likely a derivative of "bomb" from "Bomberman." Despite his naming themes surrounding words associated with juvenile delinquents, Kobon isn't one himself. It's probable that the names were chosen to show his leadership rather than be taken literally.
